Open Water

A calm content direction for a fictional programme-led organization.

Original fictional Open Water concept, wave forms and blue-green typography.

Open Water begins with a content problem: a changing programme, a set of editorial notes and information about the people behind the work all need a clear place. The design study asks how those priorities can sit together without making every update compete for the first screen.

Approach

The visual direction pairs a broad blue-green field with a quieter content grid. A few repeated alignment rules give changing material a consistent structure, while the typography separates the main programme from supporting context. The landscape application makes those relationships visible without pretending to be a screenshot of a finished application.

A responsive hierarchy would need to remain understandable when the columns become a single reading sequence. Content length, link labels, focus states and the behavior of any real forms are implementation questions to verify with the intended platform, not outcomes established by this illustration.

Design outcome

The concept demonstrates a deliberate relationship between programme, editorial content and organization information. No website was commissioned, launched or measured for a real client. There is no claim about signups, conversion, traffic or an operational application.
