Concept / Art direction
FORM / 01
A graphic direction for an imagined design exhibition.
Form, in the foreground
FORM / 01 is an original graphic concept, not an actual exhibition commission. Type, contrast and a repeated circle establish a rhythm that can be read before the words themselves. The circle supplies a steady point of reference while the lettering gives the composition its pace.
From concept to application
The relationship between type and circle is the central idea. Repetition makes the composition feel connected; contrast prevents the elements from becoming a single flat surface. This study stays with those few ingredients, testing how a graphic direction can remain recognizable without adding more decoration.
FORM / 01 — fictional independent concept
Role: Original concept direction and design study
Deliverables
Exhibition concept direction
Display-type composition
Poster/application study
Approach
The concept puts a repeated circle and a restrained set of typographic decisions in the foreground. The task is to hold a single exhibition idea together across different viewing distances, while preserving enough contrast for an event message to remain clear. No actual exhibition or attendance is implied.
Design outcome
The illustrative outcome is a repeatable graphic relationship between shape, type and space, not a report about a real cultural commission or audience response.
