Concept / Editorial design
Field Notes
A publication concept for ideas gathered along the way.
A place for observation
Field Notes is an original fictional publication concept. It explores an editorial system built from a restrained palette and an open typographic grid, giving small observations enough space to be noticed.
The useful detail
The open grid gives each fragment a clear position without making every fragment feel identical. A restrained palette leaves room for differences in scale and spacing to carry the hierarchy. The emphasis is on reading and looking: enough structure to find a way through, with enough space to pause.

Approach
An editorial system needs a useful hierarchy before it needs many decorative elements. Field Notes explores how a title, an issue marker and a few repeated rules could organize different kinds of material while keeping the reading surface open.
Design outcome
The concept shows an adaptable editorial rhythm. It is not a published client project, a circulation claim or a commercial endorsement.
